What is the bubble tea logo on today’s Google 

The bubble tea logo is now on Google’s homepage. It is not new for google to change the logo on its homepage, Google usually changes logo on different celebrations, holidays, and events from across the world.

What is this bubble tea logo?

Tea is a non-alcoholic, non-carbonated beverage and you probably have consumed green tea, black tea, chamomile tea, and white tea. But bubble tea comes from the jelly-like appearance of the pearls that look like bubbles in the tea.

Why google chose Bubble tea and why it is popular?

Bubble tea became popular mainly among millennials during Covid-19 pandemic in January 2020. Google selected January 29 day as the Bubble tea day and changed its logo on Google homepage to celebrate this iconic tea.

In this interactive doodle, people can play as a Formosan Mountain Dog who runs a stand of bubble tea in a rainy forest. Player can then fill the cup with each ingredient like milk and the boba balls, to reach a certain level. They need to fill five orders before closing shop for the day, each progressively tougher than the last.

Google statement on this doodle

Google wrote: “This Taiwanese drink started as a local treat and has exploded in popularity over the last few decades.
“Bubble tea has its roots in traditional Taiwanese tea culture which dates back as early as the 17th century. However, it wasn’t until the 1980s that the bubble tea as we know it today was invented.”
