Bill Gates is back to being the richest person in the world

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates regains “world’s richest person” title from Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos on Friday, with a net worth of $110 billion in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Bill Gates, 64, the co-founder of Microsoft has regained the title of world’s richest person, first time in more than two years after Microsoft ‘s share price rose more than 48 percent this year and Amazon reported 28% decline in profit for its third quarter.

Jeff Bezos, 55, the founder and CEO of Amazon became the world’s richest person with a net worth of $160 billion in 2018. The Jeff Bezos’s fortune impacted by his divorce settlement valued at more than $38 billion with his ex-wife MacKenzie. The total net worth of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is now $109 billion.

Bloomberg Billionaires Index is a daily ranking of the world’s wealthiest individuals since March 2012 and tracks the net worth of the 500 wealthiest people in the world.
